I’ve been tagged, at last–now I feel like a real part of a community! Rich Scheibner tagged me as part of the Leadership Meme. The discussion topic is “What are seven qualities we don’t know about you that help you be a leader?” Self-assessment–scary! Let’s see…
- Curiosity–I want to learn about just about everything. This has been a big help in terms of staying fairly abreast of new tools in my field, which is changing at the speed of light.
- Creativity–I do have the ability to see things from a different perspective than those around me, at times (sometimes a warped perspective, but different, nonetheless). This can lead to unique approaches or alternative solutions to problems.
- Determination–Most around me would call this by another name (stubbornness is a common one).
- Restlessness–I get really bored when I have to do the same task over and over again in the same way. The beauty of technology is that it is so dynamic and evolving, which suits my personality perfectly!
- Conviction–Goes along with determination, probably, but really refers to the fact that I really believe in what I do.
- Humor–Is anything more important than that when working with people and technology?
- Insomnia–I do well with less sleep than most people–it is amazing how much I learn/accomplish after the family has gone to bed!
