The Moss-Free Stone

Something of a plan to address the education of all involved in the district’s podcasting/Web 2.0 efforts is beginning to take shape:

1. Educate the Instructional Technology staff in podcasting basics, blogging, using wikis, RSS, etc. This might take the form of an all-day training in early January.
2. Educate key teachers. After-school sessions and personal training during conference times.
3. Educate students. Assist teachers as they begin the process with their classes. Show students how to access created projects, and encourage them to educate their parents.
4. Educate parents. This might take the form of instructional videos/podcasts on the district’s website. It might also include short demos at PTA meetings. The key is to have products already created/published.
